Steel-Cut Oats with Fruits and Nuts

Simple healthy wholesome breakfast treat, easy to make and delicious to eat.

Ingredients:

1 cup of steel-cut oats
2 cups of water
½ teaspoon of salt
1 cup of your favorite fruits (such as chopped apples, berries, or bananas)
½ cup of your favorite nuts (such as almonds, walnuts, or pistachios)
Honey or maple syrup, to taste (optional)


Directions:

Place the steel-cut oats, water, and salt into a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil and reduce to a simmer. Cook for 20 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes.

Once the oats are cooked, add in the fruit and nuts. Stir until combined and cook for an additional 5 minutes.

Serve warm topped with honey or maple syrup if desired. Enjoy!
